Cómo hacerlo

1. The size of the quilt can be determined individually. Cut x number of squares, each measuring 22.5 x 22.5cm. NB: the Fat Quarters (pre-cut pieces, each 45 x 45cm) from the Vivi Gade design series will be enough for 24 squares.

2. Assemble the squares of different colours and patterns and place them onto a large surface. This is done to assess the final design of the quilt. Once you are satisfied with how it looks, take a photo with your smartphone to remember the design.

3. For each square, also cut a back piece the same size as the front piece. (NB: the back should be plain for the entire back of the quilt). Cut a piece of polyester wadding, approx. 1.5cm smaller on all four sides than the square. Place the wadding between the front and the back of each square.

4. Assemble each square in layers; a front piece, wadding and the backing piece. Use plenty of needles to avoid the layers in the square being displaced and skewing the result.

6. Sew the quilted/sewn squares together row by row. Remember that the seams must be to the front. Then sew the rows together into a full size quilt.
