A sea grass basket decorated with craft paint and faux leather paper leaves

1   Paint the bottom half of the basket with Plus Color craft paint. Leave it to dry and apply another coat of Plus Color craft paint, making sure it covers the area completely.

2   You may choose a different design by painting stripes or other patterns as shown here.

3   Print the template which is available as a separate PDF file on this page. Cut out the leaf templates and copy them onto faux leather paper. Cut out. Fold pleats in a concertina fashion 1 cm apart.

4   Fold in the middle with the long side facing up as shown in the photo.

5   Secure the ends with a stapler and tie the leaves onto the mobile.

6   Cut a long piece of faux leather paper measuring 30 x 0.5 cm and use it as a piece of string for tying the leaf around the basket handle.
