Framed Chestnuts

1   Tear the tissue paper into small pieces and glue them onto the glass plate with decoupage lacquer.

2   Make holes in the chestnuts with awl.

3   Cut the pipe cleaners to make arms and legs and glue them into the holes using a glue gun.

4   Decorate the model with decorative items such as leaves.

5   Glue on wiggle eyes with a glue gun.

6   Finally, decorate the model, glass and frame with Poster Hobby Marker (paint on the inside of the glass).

Great tip!   Choose small, flat chestnuts to put inside the frame – otherwise the frame cannot be closed. But you could also gently cut away a bit of the back of the chestnut to fit, but don't forget to dry it a bit before, as the moisture from the chopped chestnuts else can form some condensation. Put the glass in place and secure in each corner using a glue gun.
