A Christmas Stocking

1   Cut out the parts from the template. Include an allowance for the seam.

2   Cut out 2 x stocking.

3   Cut 2 x pieces for the outside fold.

4   ... and 2 x pieces for the inside of the fold.

5   Zigzag (around the edges of) all the cut out pieces.

6   Sew together the back seam for the fold (marked with an X); of both the outside folds and the inside folds.

7   Sew together the 2 pieces for the fold (on three sides). Do not sew the bottom together.

8   Cut off the corners, turn inside out and press.

9   Sew the stocking together, cut notches in the curve and turn inside out.

10   Sew decorative ribbon onto the edge of the fold.

12   Cut a 5 x 24 cm piece for the strap. Zigzag and sew together on the long side. Turn inside out and press.

13   Sew the fold and the strap onto the stocking; turn up the outer side of the fold and sew onto the outer side of the stocking.

14   Sew a button onto the fold.

15   Sew bells onto the toe.
