A Cup Cosy made from knitted and felted Wool

1 For glasses (H: 13-14 cm. Dia: 20-22 cm): Cast 52 stitches of Melbourne woollen yarn onto No. 4.5 sock knitting needles. Make the lower part of the cup cosy by knitting 5.5 cm rib: 1 plain and 1 purl. Continue with 9cm in a different colour. A total of 15cm. Cast off. The finished measurement = H: 15 cm. Dia.: 26 cm. Make the lower part of the cup cosy by knitting 5.5 cm rib: 1 plain and 1 purl. Continue with 9cm in a different colour. A total of 15cm. Cast off. The finished measurement = H: 15 cm. Dia.: 26 cm. Put the knitted cup cosy in the washing machine with a towel. Wash at 60°C in the washing machine at a normal programme and the wool is felted/shrunk by approx. 30%. Leave to dry and decorate with a broochpin with a sewn-on moustache made from black felt.
