1   Varnish the seat.

2   Here is a tip to prevent the stencil from sliding: spray the back of the stencil with spray adhesive. Spray a thin layer from approx 25 cm distance. Leave to dry until the glue is tacky; i.e. the glue is sticky, but it no longer sticks to the fingers when you touch it.

3   Place the stencil on the stool and dab with Plus Color craft paint. Remove the stencil whilst the paint is still wet.

4   When dry, continue as described previously. Turn the stencil and line up the edges.

5   When dry, varnish the seat once again and the legs.

6   Make a stencilled design on the varnished seat of the stool using black Plus Color craft paint.

7   Paint the legs with black craft paint. Don't varnish afterwards but leave the legs matt black.
